The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in India, starting on October 5 and concluding on November 19, 2023
The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be held in India from October 5 to November 19, 2023. This will be the 13th edition of the tournament, which is held every four years.
Ten teams will participate in the tournament: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. England are the defending champions, having won the 2019 tournament.
The tournament will be played at ten different stadiums across India. The semifinals will be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while the final will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
This will be the first time that India has hosted the Cricket World Cup on its own. Previously, India has co-hosted the tournament with other countries in the Indian subcontinent, including Pakistan (1987), Sri Lanka (1996), and Bangladesh (2011).
The Cricket World Cup is one of the most popular sporting events in the world, and the 2023 tournament is expected to be a huge success. Fans from all over the globe will be tuning in to watch the world’s best cricketers battle it out for the coveted title of world champions.
